Brandon Marchiafava, Editor-in-Chief
Brandon is currently a third-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is originally from Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Before moving to Colorado, Brandon graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Psychology.
Prior to law school, Brandon worked in New York City as a paralegal at an employment and insurance litigation firm. While Brandon is still interested in litigating, his focus in law school has turned to contract negotiations. He is currently pursuing a Corporate and Commercial Law Certificate.
In addition to working on the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, Brandon is also competing on the NFL Negotiation Team. Outside of class, Brandon can be found exploring the mountains in his pursuit to master snowboarding this winter.
Austin Miller, Articles Editor
Austin is a third-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is from Tucson, Arizona. Austin attended the University of Arizona, where he graduated cum laude with a degree in Economics.
In addition to being the Articles Editor for the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, Austin is the 3L President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Austin is interested in representing coaches and athletes in NCAA matters.
Outside of law school, Austin enjoys watching college sports, working out, and hunting. He also loves training his dog and analyzing the stock market.
Taylor Rabb, Online Editor
Taylor is a third-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Taylor is from Denver, Colorado. Taylor graduated magna cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Sports Management and marketing.
Prior to attending law school, Taylor worked in digital marketing in Dallas, Texas. While in school, Taylor has had the opportunity to intern with a small, multi-focus law firm and with an NFL sports agent. Taylor is interested in pursuing a career in corporate law and is currently working toward earning the Corporate and Commercial Law Certificate.
Outside of law school, Taylor enjoys spending time outdoors with her dog, Bodie. Colorado is the perfect place for her love of hiking, rock climbing, skiing, and white water rafting. Taylor also loves watching OU football and supporting the local Denver sports teams.
Mirko Tancredi, Managing Editor
Mirko is a second-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is not from one place, but most recently he came to Denver from Kirkland, WA. Mirko attended Duke University where he graduated with degrees in chemistry and history.
In addition to being a Managing Editor for the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, Mirko is the Secretary for the Sports Law and Entertainment Society, the Treasurer for the Health Law Society, and involved in the Intellectual Property Law Society. Mirko is interested in sports law, intellectual property law, and financial law.
Alexander Wolfe, Managing Editor
Alex is a third-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He is originally from Texas, but has journeyed to Colorado by way of California. Alex attended Howard Payne University in Texas, where he graduated with a degree in Biology.
Before coming to law school, Alex worked as a cytogeneticist diagnosing genetic aberrations, congenital abnormalities, and various forms of cancer. He then worked as a national sales director for a startup biotech company.
Beyond his involvement with the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, Alex is a registered patent agent, a member of the Intellectual Property Law Society, the Colorado Intellectual Property Inn of Court, the Rhone-Bracket Inn of Court, DU OUTlaw, and DU Law National Lawyers Guild. Alex is interested in general civil litigation but has special interest in IP and corporate disputes.
Outside of school, Alex enjoys spending time with his partner and dog, reading, playing dodgeball, and going hiking, backpacking, cycling, snowboarding, and skiing.
Ryan Taylor, Managing Editor
Ryan is a second-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, after attending the University of Denver and graduating with degrees in Economics and History.
Ryan transitioned into law school immediately after graduation, and has worked with NFL agents and SI journalists in his pursuit of an NFL front office career.
Ryan is also a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and will be a Teaching Assistance for Lawyering Process in the Spring semester.
Outside the law, Ryan enjoys running, watching a variety of TV shows and movies, and tinkering with team-building modes in the NBA 2K, FIFA, and Madden franchises.
