McKenna Walsh, Candidacy Editor
McKenna is a third-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. She is from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. McKenna attended the University of St. Thomas and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies.
In addition to being on the board for the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal, McKenna is a member of the Sports & Entertainment Law Society. As the 3L Vice President, McKenna started the Hockey Arbitration Team to compete at the Hockey Arbitration Competition of Canada last year. She was also a member of the University of Denver’s Baseball Arbitration Team which competed at the Tulane International Baseball Arbitration Competition.
During McKenna’s free time she enjoys watching the Detroit Red Wings and golfing. She also likes trying new restaurants and playing Euchre with her family.
Scott Hammersley, Sources Editor
Scott is a third-year law student at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Scott also lived in Toronto, Canada for a few years as a kid. Scott attended American University in Washington, D.C. where he graduated with a B.Sc. in Economics in 2016.
Prior to law school Scott worked as a payroll manager in Chicago, Il. He also worked for contractors doing work for the Social Security Administration and the Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel.
Scott is the Sources Editor for the Sports & Entertainment Law Journal. Scott is also the Director of Networking for the Coalition for Criminal Justice Reform, a coach for the Student Trial Lawyers Association, and was an Orientation Leader for the class of 2023. Following his graduation this year Scott hopes to get into civil rights or criminal defense work.
Some of Scott’s interests and hobbies include running, hockey, baseball, reading, and hiking.
