        On July 3, 2017, Angel Hernandez, a 24-year veteran umpire, filed suit against the Office of the Commissioner of Major League Baseball (“MLB”). The complaint alleges discrimination based on race and national origin pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 1981, and Ohio Revised Code § 4112.02.
